The Muslim Students Society, Lagos State chapter, has called on the Federal Government to ban the reality show Big Brother Naija, popularly known as BBnaija, describing it as “the worst distraction for Nigerian youths.”
What the society said: In a statement to commemorate the International Youth Day and the Islamic New Year, President of the society, Mallam Miftahudeen Thanni, said BBNaija negates everything about morality and could damage the strong moral foundation known in many Nigerian societies.
The society further argued that this morality extends beyond just nude dressing to encouraging youths to sell their bodies for fame and money. “We express our total rejection ot the programmme and call on the government to ban it,” the president added.
